Circuito do Sol

The new luxury-race track in Portugal

Race resorts are well known in the United States with their highly developed motorsport clubs, but in Europe they are an exception. A new resort has just opened in an exceptional location in Portugal – the Circuito do Sol, or ‘Ring of the Sun’. The name says it all, as the CdS, as it is known for short, is located in the south of Portugal and therefore in one of the sunniest places in Europe. Just two hours from Lisbon and one from the Algarve, you are surrounded by nature and quaint villages.

The builder used an area previously used as a go-kart track for the construction, which made the authorisation process less complicated. The result is a 3.7-kilometre-long high-end track that is bursting with challenges. There are blind corners as well as a complex topography with lots of ups and downs and changing banking.

The Circuito do Sol also has a lot to offer. Between your driving stints, you can relax in the clubhouse or chill out by the pool. If you don’t want to leave the location, you can even buy your own villa on the circuit grounds, service included. Racing really doesn’t get any better than this.
