For all motorsport teams who want to test their race car in the cold season or drivers who want to get fit for the upcoming season, Gedlich Racing offers a series of test days in Spain, Portugal and Southern France. These are characterised by the particularly high-quality calendar and the high quota of fast racing cars.
Markus Gedlich, Managing Director of Gedlich Racing explains: “We are now running our very successful trackday series “Endless Summer” for the eleventh season. This season it includes a total of 26 trackdays on 7 tracks. We have particularly many German teams from the endurance and GT series who test their cars. But also pilots with fast road cars with semi-slicks of the calibre of a Porsche GT3 RS are very welcome and from the speed point of view they fit well into the series of racing cars”.
26 appointments within three months on the best routes in Southern Europe
The calendar reads impressively. International routes like Ascari, Estoril and Portimao are offered in December and January. For February and March, in addition to Ascari, which Gedlich Racing uses as headquarters and parking for racing and sports cars, the Almería circuit with its impressive 9 km of track will follow, as well as the ultra-modern Aragón (this year’s venue for the WTCR) and the Formula 1 circuit of Barcelona. The season ends at the Paul Ricard international circuit in the south of France, which is particularly popular for preparing for international races.
Racecar-only test days with limited number of participants
For Portimao, situated on the beautiful Algarve coast of Portugal, Gedlich Racing has six days of testing on the agenda. Two of them (25/26 January 2021) are scheduled as pure racing tests, during which a race car with slicks is a prerequisite. In addition, the total number of cars is limited to 26 in order to provide optimum conditions for performance tests.
Europe’s longest sprint track in the programme – “Die Südschleife” with 9 km per lap
The brand-new route of Almería is still largely unknown to many. Built by ex-Moto GP pilot David García, it offers 9 km of finest layouts and is located in the driest region of Europe, the desert of Tabernas. Although no international races are held here, the track has established itself as an integral part of the Endless Summer fans in two seasons, in which Gedlich Racing now offers it. Its track profile is very similar to the Nürburgring Nordschleife and it receives top marks from amateur and professional drivers alike. It can be optimally combined with the date in Ascari on 2 and 3 February 2021.
Raceweeks – up to eight trackdays with only one journey
In several cases, the dates are combined into so-called “Endless Summer Raceweeks”. With only one journey you can drive up to eight trackdays on up to four tracks. The dates can also be booked individually.
Rental racing vehicles, transport and travel service from the organizer
If you don’t have a racing car and would like to rent one: Gedlich Racing, in cooperation with its partners, has about 50 different types for rent on site.
But the organizer also organizes the transport of the own car, both from Germany to the sunny south and from the headquarters in Ascari (where the cars are parked during the winter) to the other tracks.
Gedlich Racing offers the Endless Summer travel service to all customers. In addition to hotel bookings at special rates, the organiser assists with flight bookings, transfers and the supporting programme.
Bookings are accepted immediately.
